Just got back from NYC yesterday. It was amazing. I had a blast, I loved just walking around Manhattan. If I had the means I would have given serious consideration to not coming back.
Anyway! On to the reason for the trip. The pizza.
I ordered a small(6 slices) with sweet sausage. It was amazing. This is like the purest, most distilled pizza there is. Nothing fancy, just good ingredients cooked in traditional fashion. They use a coal fired oven, and there is just no replicating that flavor. And the service was great, I was seated in like, 20 seconds. I got pizza on my table less than 10 minutes after ordering.
The atmosphere in the building itself is pretty cool. You step off the corner of Spring and Mott and step into the turn of the last century. If you find yourself in New York you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not trying this place.
If you want pizza how it was made a hundred years ago, you owe it to your taste buds to try the best.
